An ever-evolving communicative platform for the collective I work with: THE WARRIORS OF LIGHT.brave communcations. One special feature is that you can choose different themes, animated backdrops for the site.

This site was honored with the reputable silver nail, the highest award in interactive media by the Art Directors Club Germany in 2003.

The idea of theme-ing the website turned out to be a pretty good idea. Members of the Warriors of Light did several themes since the site went online. And we also invited other talented people from all over europe to do a theme.

The theming concept came from our non-digital corporate design: On the one hand we have traditional, easily digestable and consistent content, on the other hand this is confronted with over-boarding creative artistic expression. On the website this turned out to be a two-layer structure. Calm and sober layout of the main content with animated, colorful and individual backgrounds beneath.

I especially like “To merge apart”, a random-driven subtly animated graphic by /Sev of betabong fame. Or try out “BM-004” by Matthias Ballmann, I‘m sure you will rub your eyes…
