Here are some images from our two weeks in Kenya, east africa in June 2006.

Massai Mara landscape
The Massai Mara. The plains, the sky, the animals, the light, all adds up to sheer beauty. Go, visit.

Baby elephant
Let me introduce you to Zurura (“the wanderer” in suahili). I had the honour to become the foster parent of this little baby elephant orphan at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust . You can read his story here.

Group of Massai around Tilman
I’m the white one in the middle. I am only entirely sure that it was us visiting the Massai and not the other way round because we were the one’s who had to pay 1.200 Shillings for the fun. Yes, this is really a hat from a lion’s moan.

Still life from Malindi airport
If you think of a barrack with a dusty airstrip you come pretty close to what Malindi airport looks like. Nice interior architects.

Giraffe beside a bush
Oh, and on the last game drive, one of the giraffes came pretty close. It took me to the side, bowed down its long neck and whispered in my ear. It said, it had a message for all of you dear readers. It asked: “Say, white guy, have all your tint-readers already signed up for the tint-RSS-feed ?”. Awesome creatures…
