Extremely detailed abstract digital free illustrations by this small austrian graphic design studio. Stay on their website for a bit, they have more gorgeous work there.

Taking One Year Off

Dear world, I would like to let you know: I take the next year off. I will be staying away from agency work at the Warriors from September 2011 to August 2012. Instead, I will be taking care of our two wonderful kids (2 1/2 and nearly a year old). Twelve months of full-time Dad duties! ¬ Full Entry

Old Fangs animated short

Beware, these 11 minutes are slow, silent and very sad. But also very beautiful. Great mix of media embedded into some tasteful cinematography and art direction.

Some pretty clever and playful graphics over at ILoveDoodle's flickr. Great choice of colors too!

Misericordia

This is a sign I created for a local project for young adult christians. The project is about putting our faith in God into practice by helping needy people in our home town.

That is a very honorable task with a long tradition. So I created a coat of arms, but in a very modern and graphic way. The symbols depict the values of the project: Doing good with our hands (top left), rooted in Christ (the vineyard in the lower right). ¬ Full Entry

Experience the planets

This ongoing collection shows some awesome detailed digital paintings from our solar system. These are the artists’ interpretations of concepts based on the state of scientific knowledge, not the average fantasy art. At all comes in a beautiful (flash) presentation with matching music and a beautiful interface.

Traumgedanken by Maria Fischer

A lovely illustrated book coming from Maria Fischer, student at FH Augsburg. It's about dreams. The nicely set text is accompanied by abstract illustrations that are done entirely with real colored threads, woven through the paper. These threads seem to run through the whole book, through every single page and also it seems they hold the paper together at the back. Sweet!
