Usually I would not post about architecture (I hate to see the 123rd japanese empty white cube house), but here is an exception: The tree hotel strikes a cord in my heart. It consists of several different small units sitting in a swedish forest. My favourite is the mirror cube pictured above, but the others are also worth a look.

An architectural concept that is not likely to be see the light of day: In the former battlegrounds of Sarajevo, these houses shall rise up high into the airspace once occupied by falling mortar and artillery shells fired by the city’s besiegers in the surrounding mountains. By occupying the airspace, the High Houses reclaim it for the people of the city.
Poetic, beautiful and a great concept. The drawings alone are worth a look.
