The aim of this project, my diploma thesis in 2002, is to illustrate and discuss the Sermon on the Mount from the bible in a new way. All the content is completely dynamic and everybody is invited to upload their own images, flash movies, thoughts, ideas and visions and attach it to individual text parts.

This site is now three years old as a I write this. Feels even older to me. I still like the idea, and the minimal site design with small informative color-coded icons. At that time I preferred to do it in flash, because of the greater control over layout and typography. If i did it all over again, of course I would not do it in flash again, but in much faster and more flexible XHTML/CSS.

The website traffic went through the roof when it went online. There were hundreds of people on some days, unfortunately most of them only looking, but not taking part. Maybe the flash interface was just too sluggish with the database growing, or maybe the people just were not used to sites that live from people sharing their thoughts.
