3D-animated flash piece promoting a series of dance events all over the globe, laid down by the fabulous www.betalounge.com, sponsored by Levi’s engineered jeans.
I did this flash movie during my residency at the futurefarmers in 2001. Each slice of the big red logo stood for one of the parties somewhere in the world. When you roll the cursor over it, you can read the info in a small popup panel. Roll the mouse to the right and left to turn the logo on the side.
In case you were wondering: No, flash is not capable of displaying such complicated 3D graphics. The red 3D model of the logo was pre-rendered in Cinema 4D. The transition from on position to the other was rendered in wireframe mode and then imported into flash in 1-bit images. This way the filesize of the (many) images needed for a smooth movement is still pretty small.
